Why did you become an academic advisor?
I want to have a positive impact on others. Everybody needs someone in their corner to help and support them, especially during a big life change like college. I want to do whatever I can to help students succeed.
What is your favorite thing about the TAMUG experience?
The community at this school is truly special. You can easily see how much this school cares for its students.
What is your best advice for incoming students?
Even though it seems overwhelming at first, college is a time for growth. Have fun, make friends, study, and work hard. Don’t be afraid to reach out for help. You are capable of more than you might think.
What do you do when you are not advising?
I love spending time with my friends and family. Other than that, I love finding new hobbies. From reading to learning a new instrument, I always like trying new things.
What else should students know about you?
I love cats, coffee, and music. If you have any pet pictures, I would love to see them!
